This is a Really dope piece! I can easily imagine this being Damian grown up and after reading your thought process below, I gotta say it makes sense! I've done some superman redesigns and the red and blue do posse an issue sometimes the you have more of one and not the other!

just realizing i got them confused. meant to be jon and damian

it's difficult because it requires a certain about of blue and a certain amount of red. it's such an iconic costume, too much in either direction and it feels off. i didn't like the new 52 suit. looked like armor, and he doesn't need that, so that was out. red underwear felt too close to the original, so if you're going to do that, why bother with the rest? underwearless, and the blue boots he has now i did somewhat like, but not enough red.
Β Β so, my thought process was, it's the future, so you have wiggle room. if the suit is going to have lines, let them have a function. these focus on the emblem, and push flight poses with line direction. And it's (in my eyes) the right amount of red. i also debated cape, no cape, and still unsure. but since i'm not getting paid, i'm not losing sleep, ha. extra points if you know whose hair dye style i swiped!
