"Now that you're all cozy and thoroughly silenced, I'll let you in on my little plan," Sara said in low tones. Peggy was nearby, but worriedly checking her phone.
The blonde rolled her eyes. She shifted, but there was no give in her bonds. Sara had seen to that.
"I already have the flash drive you were looking for, the whole reason you undoubtedly came here. Got it, hmmm, thirty minutes ago by my watch? I just happened to see you four stroll in and decided to stick around and have a bit of fun."
"Hrrrmmmmghppphhh! Grrrrmmmmmnnnffttt!" Her eyes flashed, nostrils flared in rage. Outplayed. Ridiculous. Becca Carter AKA Gold Claw did not get outplayed. Yet here she was.
"I'm going to take Peggs to the bedroom where I 'need' her help, which is nothing more than tying her up to be honest. Then I'm out of here. Chloroform should do the trick?"
She had to warn Peggy! Becca tried calling for her, but her words were much too garbled to understand. Peggy herself was walking up now, looking at her. "Hhhhhlllllmmpppppp! Shhhhhhhhsss gggnnn-mmmppppphphhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" She'd been attempting to enunciate her words, but Sara had clamped a tight hand over her mouth, muffling her the point of absolute obscurity. The detective glanced at Becca, who was making poor excuses for yelling and stomping her feet. "I guess she's mad at me."
Becca tried shaking her head.
"Definitely is. I say we get a move on before she blows a gasket, yeah?"
