O.K. so this is the first time I've used water colors in over ten years. I am quite a bit rusty with this technique. Hope you kids like it.Related content

It's great when watercolorists get really deep colors like this. The skull stands out against that red, which is a color I'd expect to see inside a body, really, which makes it interesting inside the coffin.
You used four different symbols of death, but it is all animated and unified, like a body-- the skull, angel wings, cigarette, and coffin. The slogan "once more" helps to bring them to life, as do references to the body, like that red or the shake of the skull, or the fact that the cigarette is lit.
You play with that line between death and life so much...it makes your work very exciting to look at.

Watercolors are something I plan on using a lot more of in the future. They are always a lot of fun to mess around with.
To me, this image is really all about people making excuses for their addictions. People (myself included) often rationalize their dirty habits by saying things like "One more drink can't hurt" or "Well I've already smoked a pack today, what's one more gonna do?" I wanted to convey that addiction can ultimately be the cause of your death. Even if it's just one more of whatever it is.

Thanks Noah! I think a couple spots didn't really come out the way I envisioned them. I am just going to keep practicing and hopefully the next few will come out better.
