i've made over 300 (if not more) of these miniature marbling cards over the last few weeks, and with very few exceptions most have used yellow with gradients from black to gray which seem to be the most striking and allow for further enhancement and blending techniques later. these cards are intended to be part of a collaboration in March of 2014 the details of which will be forthcoming as the date inches closer and finished examples are ready to post.

made on 2.5 x 3.5 ivory ATC card stock using Yasutomo Traditional Chinese (ultra black) ink and yellow Adirondack alcohol ink
colors were floated on water only in a small tray
