Another portrait thing, I've seriously gotta start doing more interesting poses rather than just 'I stand here'Related content

Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Entropy. Its 5 eon mission: to exploit strange new worlds, to corrupt new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no great old one has gone before

You're the tentacle king , gotta say it. Love the detail on the suit.
I think I'd be a member of a more elite group called "I stand here, frowning, looking straight ahead" . Very exclusive.

It's a classy group, and all should bow down before it's power, lol

Cool again lovely job on the skin, like the backlighting, he looks like he would have been welcome in the SS for some reason maybe its because one of his eyes seem to be manicule like

Looks great.
Google up images of portraits and see how other people do them.
Not quite sure they have action portraits.

The first thing I thought of when I saw this was that it looked liked a beefed up version of the Ood from Dr. Who. [link]
Excellent work!

Oh definitely he just reminded me of them because of the tentacles coming from the mouth. Your piece is definitely bad ass!

I never realized Dr.Who could be so nasty! Mines a pussy in comparison.. time to ramp up the nastiness on the next one
Thanks Vale

Wow, excellent work! Looks like one of those Rembrandt paintings with a bit of rim lighting for added epicness... so awesome!

Considering the level of detail int his picture (Wonderful job, by the way), you shouldn't mind the simple view.
Besides, there's good reason that the three-quarters view is so popular. It allows you to show off so much of the character in one shot.

Another cool creepy creature of the deep! At least we don't have to worry about his manly parts this time. I love the traditional portrait structure and the way it brings out his menacing dignity.

Haha, the good old 'I stand here' pose; I do it far too often too. This is a beautiful painting though; the lighting is wonderfully understated.
