Awesome colors. What really makes them work is that red in the shadows. That's so curious and yet ever so effective. I just love it. It goes with the dull greens so well.
And man, the way the hair and fur turned out is just sweet. All the armor details... this is what an RPG character drawing should look like. It makes even the ugly look awesome!

Thanks Tiffany, that's really cool of you to say!
It looks better in print, it seems I washed it out quite a bit when I prepped it for web viewing.. I'll never get the hang of that

Um, I guess once the sketch was out of the way about 2 maybe 3 hours? It was so long ago that I can't remember now, sorry.

Oh, nice! I love the texture of his elbows.
I'm always envious of how well you seem to be able to determine where to start "fading out" various compositional elements. I probably would have over-rendered the trousers or scabbard and messed the whole thing up!

I'm not sure I'm as good at that as you think, but I kinda work it like this.. if it's something I want the eye to focus on I don't blend, I add the detail.. I really play it by ear/instinct, hence it's hit or miss
And thanks!
