This is a drawing that was done as a university assignment. I have finally been able to incorporate assignments with my artwork this term and will have more time to finish current and future projects so stay tuned.

Extremely well done! Are you studying art or something?
Btw: you remind me of Sheldon Cooper

Yeah, BBT is probably the best series on tv anyways.. At least in Germany..
Ive thought about studying art too, but Ive always thought it would be boring theory and you cant find a job afterwards anyways - is that true?

That is a good question, I personally think that having a degree in fine art is invaluable to one's life and career as an artist. It can open a lot of opportunities for someone who is serious and actually uses it. With that said it can be a waste of time and money for those not willing to put the effort in. It really depends...

Hm... But everything is useless unless you put effort into it, I guess. Is it actually more theory or practical?

In my studio courses I spend most of the time drawing nude models from life and I find that to be very useful and practical. There is not much to do with theory. I hope that answers your questions. Cheers.

Charcoal? How you can achieve this level of photorealism with charcoal sticks is beyond me ... surely not with just them carbonized stumps, right? Right?Β
This is an amazing work.
