It's really wonderful, but it is not a error from you. It's typically German.
I think it has something to do with politics. Many politicians want to allow only the 3rd verse....because of the text of the first verse.
But it's the right national hymn and the translation is great. I didn't even know the first two verses. My You Tube is not well tuned.
