Also, am I the only person who's bothered by the fact that one can't move the AK's firemode lever off of the Safe setting?

Casings aren't especially large. The casing of a 7.62x39mm cartridge as used in the AKM seen on the picture is barely 4 centimeters (more precisely 1.5 inches) in length. Probably disproportional in comparison to the actual TF2 characters, but not especially tiny when you compare them to the weapons they're actually being fired from. The pistol cartridges probably look a bit smaller than they actually are since I placed them further away from the camera than the gun, since the pistol has the ejection port on the left-hand side.
