History and Backstory:
Conroy is known as the team's wild card, using his varied and unorthodox moveset to catch opponents off guard. He also sometimes is called to spy and eavesdrop on potential enemies, pretending to be a naive kid just minding his own business that wandered close. He is seen as a notably cheery boy who's more than happy to help someone who's feeling down (a trait that surprises people when they learn his backstory). He evolved into a Togetic as a means to save himself and Sunny the Shaymin from falling down to the rocks after getting caught in a raging river into a waterfall.
Conroy's life was turned upside down when his parents died in an accident, leaving him an orphan. Eventually, he found a new home with a circle of friends in an abandoned house. In return for allowing him to stay and teaching him how to take care of and defend himself, all they wanted was for him to lead unsuspecting Pokemon into the haunted house to "have fun with."
So one day when he lured Shiro, Sumia and Loren into the house, he didn't try to warn them, and when it came down to blows, he ultimately lost to Loren.
The final straw came when Excalibur member Morgan arrived and arrested his friends and told him about the Ditto messing with Shiro. Horrified, he asked her to take him to the Swifters so he could apologize personally. To his surprise, not only was he forgiven, (though Shiro needed some extra time to come around) but he was allowed to join the Swifters, after defeating Loren in an invitation battle, of course. Now among true friends, he hopes to make amends to the team by helping them out on missions.
