Did this as an English assignment last Winter, consider the fact we were looking at Revolution, propaganda, as well as the novel known as 'Animal Farm', which was written in the time of which when the Soviet Union was becoming a thing, a long with the fall of the Tsar. We did our own project for a revolution, and I had chosen robotics taking over, obviously. This was the flag I drew for it, though it's not so much a flag as it is a drawing...Related content

No problem.
In the UK, Year 11 is your final year of secondary school before you move onto college or sixth form.
So I guess 11th grade?

I know. Over here it goes Nursery (or Pre-School, we have both).
Then you get into Primary School, where you start in Reception and finish in Year 6.
And then you start Secondary School in Year 7 and finish in Year 11.
And finally you can choose to go to College, or Sixth Form.

In Canada it's:
-Nursery
-Kindergarten
-Grade 1-3 (Beginner Elementary)
-Grade 4-6 (Intermediate Elementary)
-Grade 7-8 (Middle School/Junior)
-Grade 9-12 (Highschool/Senior)
And then I'm not too sure about Universities and Colleges... I think there's post Secondary after Highschool

Wow, it really is different.
Though, I think in the UK we have some Middle and High schools, my cousins had them where they live.
I just went to Primary and Secondary. Now I’m in my second year of College.

Hooray for complex education systems, especially in the UK where they changed the entire exam grading system, and made exams harder. ;_;

I’m mad about it, mostly because I have to retake GCSE Maths (for the third time...) And I struggle enough with it already. Making it harder isn’t going to help me at all.

Whose decision was it to make it harder? And I remember when I had to retake math a few years ago because my stupid teacher couldn't make it clear enough on what we were doing, and considering my medication made me drowsy all the time I couldn't even stay awake to listen, I was more focused on getting my body to do that falling feeling to wake myself up

The Governments, parents were complaining that GCSEs were to easy, so they changed the whole damn system. Now instead of the grades being A*-U, they’re 1-9.
I just find Maths hard in general, can never get my head around it. So both times I did my GCSE Maths exams I got a D, which I think is a 3 in the new system.

Jesus what the hell? We never really had any major change to education that fucked us over like that (or atleast that I've noticed or am aware of, though I doubt anything had changed because everything seems the same) But like... THat's making it impossible for people who are already struggling :/

I have no clue, no-one likes Theresa May (Our Prime Minister) or the Conservative Party. (Current major political party in charge)
But yet she doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, despite all the protests against her and the Conservative party.
Welcome to British Politics, extremely complicated, screwing up our education system, NHS services, Brexit, and just screwing the country over in general.

I was watching Jonathan Pie with my brother, a journalist who covers those type of politics and while the way he covers them is fucking hilarious, you forget that people have to put up with these stupid fucking people. And man, I remember when the Conservative Party was in power before the 2015 election. I really didn't like Stephen Harper (Old Prime Minister) but even then, there's always those people who actually ended up defending what he does and wanting to vote for him again.
Though, ever since the election they're now the official opposition against the Liberal Party. And if you're asking me, I'm glad Harper is gone.

Same, people don’t like the Conservatives, but yet they keep getting voted back into power.
However in the last general election over here, we ended up with a hung parliament because the Labour Party and The Conservatives got a pretty equal amount of votes.
But then Theresa May tired to make a joint parliament with some Northen Irish political party called the Democratic Union Party, which no-one had ever heard about until then. I don’t think it ended up happening, but the fact that she tried it in the first place is stupid.
A clear example of why it was a stupid idea, is that here in the UK same sex marriage is legal, but the DUP are against same sex marriage.

SCR3-4-ME In reply to Marikuro [2017-10-08 01:14:31 +0000 UTC]
So basically the DUP would've brought some undoing? And dude, even not I have heard of the DUP, so to try and unite those two parties is really obscure, but more so to your country considering they would have no idea of their intentions.
And when next election comes around, if they're in the top 3 that gets that majority of the votes I'm not even going to be surprised, because despite the shifting of morals of what people know as right as wrong, they still lean towards the somewhat fascist side things.
IE, saying that the missing Igneous people across Canada isn't a problem. IE what Harper said.
But even then, it's not just the government parties to blame, there's racism all over the country towards igneous people by the citizens themselves, and then racism going towards the immigrants and refugees that are seeking here as a home, but people still don't like it, and I've heard nonstop people complain it like..
If you don't like the pluralism (of different types of people), you're allowed to fucking leave, because considering we just had our 150th celebration of confederation, pluralism was one of the things that was celebrated during Canada day, but I hear people like my mother still complaining how it's "not right" to let these people in.

I don’t think the DUP would’ve changed anything, or that they’re going to be a major party. But it was still a stupid idea.
And I know, racism is a big problem. I can’t understand how people can have a mindset like that.
I hear people talking about how immigrants and refugees shouldn’t be allowed in all the time over here as well.

I know right, but one of the biggest arguments that come up is that people are getting annoyed that some of the refugees are coming in illegally/for free and are skipping out on the complicated paperwork that has to go through the border and customs, but alot of them don't have the time or money to even do that because well... THEY'RE REFUGEES. THEY JUST ESCAPED A WAR, you really think they have the money to enter the country legally? And to be honest, I don't care if immigrants enter legally or not.
And speaking of seeking refuge to Canada, I even remember a story that happened during the winter. Two Americans that were making to escape discrimination from the USA, they were making they're way to the border and were doing so through the prairie regions, which have EXTREME winters. So, these guys nearly died due to hyperthermia when trying to get to the border to escape racist idiots in the states. They survived though, and were taken under care of customs and they sorted everything out from there.
You see the shit people have to go through just to escape their torments? And considering that the UN had created human rights many decades ago, and many of the human rights fall under these categoeries that none should ever suffer demorilization, and have the right to not be fearful of their surroundings, but many people are not getting that.

I know, all those people want is a safer life, but yet people spit on them. They’ve been through enough already.
Some people need to re-read the human rights.

And countries like the USA are not even bothering to make laws and regulations that even goes by the human rights.
I was taught the human rights in middle school, and I really believe that it needs to be keep being taught within these times. And same with things like First aid, I had learned it in Grade 10 and I actually had a situation where I had to use my knownledge to help someone.

And its not just the governments that get extreme, it's the people too. Like people are allowed to protest but people just get so corrupt and desperate to show their views and to actually have it take effect they end up being worse than the governments themselves.
And dont get me started on conspiracy theorists
