Description "Say you were me
Then you could see the view
You'll know we are equally damaged"

www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5ozF8…

Holy shit it's been way too long since my last post here T_T
Work is being a b*tch and it kind of drove me into an art-block but hopefully I'll get back to drawing and posting here weekly!

introduced me a while back to an interesting Random Words Challenge.
The random words I got were: Vacant, Embrace, Fertility, Encounter, Growth.
And this is what I came up with, huh XD
Recently I've been feeling less and less comfortable with mixed media, and I think I might be taking a break from it for a little while and get back to working on acrylic, oil, and more purely traditional projects...
I will probably make more of these sketchbook drawings whether I like it or not cos it's great for practice but expect some more serious stuff in the future

I love the way how you put emotions in your creations
it looks so easy when you do it. I find it very hard to do myself.

I like how much your drawings call for interpretation.
For me this represent a bad relationship.
Seems like the women is bored, apathic, resigned and the man is just trying to feel less lonely.
like the irony of putting flowers and coloring it pink, when the situation seems so tragic...
good job as always

God, I just LOVE the way you think, a very good job interpreting it

Always gives me the chills when people see and feel some of the same things that I do in my works

I still wonder, are the flowers Hyacinths? Representation of jealousy and torture of love.

How can something so beautiful be a product of unfulfilled love? I ask myself, have something to die for the birth of something new?

YES YES & YES!!!!! Wow I was wondering if someone will notice these are hyacinths! You have a very keen eye for symbolism I see
Well, love has many faces, even within the aspects of exaggerated longing, unfulfillment, pain and sacrifice, and sometimes even hollowness. All are beautiful in their own way I guess.
Thank you so much for giving your time to look and think about this drawing. I can't describe how happy and glad I am to read your thoughts and opinions

Beautiful work, I love how much this piece conveys with so few elements. I really love the expression as well, to me it seems so longing, as if she's thinking of somewhere else. Very unique and well-executed piece

Very good job

I like your image of fertility with the flowers. It is very clever !
As for the "vacant" with the missing heart, I have this weird feeling that the girl is responsible for the man's wound. As if she had taken away his heart or something. Her stare seems to be very cruel, in some way. The man doesn't seem aware of the guilt of the girl, and I think he look for some support in her arms. He feels powerless to me

Keep up the good work, dear ~

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I really loved to read your interpretation!   one of my favorite things about art is to see how different people react and perceive the work itself and what meaning might they give it.
Really loved the challenge, it drew out a lot of "deep" thinking and creativity from me even through my recent art-block.
You too keep up the good work and stay awesome, cheers!

I sent you an invitation to the group I made based on this challenge. Check it out if you're interested !

Thanks ! I'll try
