A huge fan of Geralt and the Witcher storyline. Β You've done an excellent job of capturing his brooding self.

The artwork is really nice, but...
Wait...there are going to be different versions of the Steelbok? Meh...
CDPR really changed, didn't they? From a rebell that fights for equality in terms of game versions, fairness in terms of prices and for free DLCs to a full blown triple-A developer with all the bells and rings to it.
Last I heard the PC version will also be in a downgraded state and more or less content-equal with the console versions. Nice.

This is up to you what version to choose. You just need to ask your retailer. We dont know nothing about that downgrade yet the game will be released. All that we saw last time was gameplay in highest settings very close to max console capabilities. This is high settings for PC. I am more than sure that Ultra with all Nvidia features will look more than stunning, but more afraid that all that Ultra require a Uber PC to do so. New Titan Z-X level or SLI of 980. Off course with lot of RAM and i7. So dont worry. I`m sure even on high settings you`ll be more than satisfied.

I preordered the Collectors Edition on Amazon.de. I already know that the CE for consoles will have a bit more stuff. And now there are different versions of the steelbook. Those are all things I would totally expect from 99% of the publishers on the market. Before TW3, CDPR seemed like the 1%. At least that was my impression.
I know that ultimately every company is about financial success. And I also know that compared to other triple-A titles, TW1 and TW2 did not make the financial success they deserve for their top quality. So naturally a publisher would go for "more pro" and professionalism these days means many of the things described.
But was it really necessary for them to go all the way? Different release versions is already on the same level as EA and Ubisoft. So...welcome to the top tier. Or is it? Not quite there, still misses a ton of DLCs, a few of them right at release. I dunno why...but I'm fairly optimistic that this wont happen. I hope CDPR proves me right. ^^

Just a linen canvas map and maybe Gwent. Nothing to be really pissed off. Yes there are different versions and thats why the devs. asked to ask about what versions is available before you buying them by themselves. And yes, its all about financial sucess of course, but they really trying to make their best even with what they got and all financial troubles they went through when Witcher 2 was released. And still it is the best RPG of that years i played(Bethesda dont count in that-its kinda different). And again yes it is necessay, because their company must grow too. And is it bad to have a different choises? DLC will be free and weekly, all the 16 of them.
