Syx (is that pronounced like the number six?) seems to appear having many jobs and in many compromised positions. Is she some form or prostitute or is she just prone to sexual misadventures that most, humans anyway, would find highly traumatic?

Just in case you haven't found the answer since you asked it. In a nutshell, she was summoned by a rather poor wizard from hell and as part of the process had some cursed 'slut manacles' put on her. They can't be removed and if anyone asks to have sex with her, she does as a result of the curse.
