If YOU like him, and you have the time, then just carry on! You must do your own thing, with Art, as with everything!. And as you do, others will enjoy the results..... or not
We do our thing initially as an expression of our thoughts and moods/feelings... If, in doing our thing, others are impressed, even enjoy looking at our work,..then THIS is a bonus, but in the end, it's self expression, and we simply must carry on! Art, .. painting , music, writing dance,..whatever, ... is primarily self centred,
That our efforts are 'ever' enjoyed by others is indeed a real bonus,...... but when it becomes, 'the main reason' for our work' it is time to give it a rest.
