Description
I briefly worked with a low budget paranormal debunk tv show. I helped a small team put together cheesy haunted effects and props for the actors to stumble across or into. Chase was the lead actor and he constantly butted heads with everybody...so sometimes the effects seemed more like pranks and at times were mildly painful to him. There were times we were on sacred grounds and unexplainable events would happen. A lot of it was just natural consequences or just plain karma. After Chase received a gash from messing around in the catacombs of a church, he complained until the whole effects team was let go.
Weeks after desecrating those catacombs he was described as acting superstitious and skittish. Said he saw shadow people and thought he was being followed. Wasn't long after he became too afraid to work on the show. They hired someone else to take his place. A more controversial taller heavy weight, sarcastic guy who was a bigger self centered mess than Chase. The replacement came as a slap in the face. Rumor had it Chase was seeking help with his nyctophobia in the form of some very questionable researchers. Last I heard, he had been enrolled in Dr. Nocht Myer's sleep program.
