this was a request and im sorry it fuckin sUCKSi could go on forever about this but they're supposed to be short and its so bad but i struggled for 3 days here ya go
could make a follow up with other little things i guess
being a skinny person i can't use myself for reference for these kind of things, so ive taught myself by looking at other people and art
it took a long fucking time so dont think im just naturally good at it
for reference this was the first drawing of kurai that was supposed to be fat (ya seriously i thought this was fat)
this is him now
so yea keep drawing and youll get it

I mean, I do technically have one more, but he goes on about food a good bit

i mean like i mentioned they can like food.. as long as its not their only trait
i have a character that uses food to cope with his depression.. thats his character and thats why hes fat

Eugh dude I totally need this, I am so bad with chubby characters, and I can't ever get them right, I have a habit to draw the upper body like the squish physics to the left hnngng, then you so much for making this, I rly need to fuggin branch out body types more

Ahh Thank you so much for this! You have no idea how helpfull this is to me. That part with the 'squish physics' Thats exactly what i kept doing wrong,and i knew it looked wrong but i could never understand what it was so i could never fix it properly,now that i know id be sure to use that knowledge from now on. Having descriptions along with the illustations is definitely much more effective at helping me understand why. And that part with the skinny base,do you use that base each time you draw your chubby characters or was that just to show the difference between them? Either way that was an excellent way of showing it and ill be sure to look at this for reference in the future. Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into this its greatly appreciated!

im glad i could help!! there's a lot of other details i wouldve added but it was hard mm
with the base it depends really?? i usually draw everything in one go, but if its a new character i could use it because new things
but it's always good to start off with it and then learn to not use it eventually
