Description: The mamba death adder is a long elapid snake that has convergently evolved with the mambas of Africa. It is descended from the death adders that lived in Australia about 50 million years ago. These reptiles were very common in Australia; they were even found in the suburbs of the past. These suburbs no longer exist, since humans went extinct over 35 million years ago because of viruses. So, the snakes had to evolved back into the wild, since they can't rely on human structures.
The mamba death adder is light brown and dark brown in color. This coloration helps it blend into the grass and leaf foliage on the grassland and rainforests. It has a small slender body that helps it fit into small crevices of the rocks. It has one of the most toxic bites of the animal kingdom able to kill a man in 15 to 20 minutes. Sometimes, it won’t inject venom when defending itself which is called a dry bite. When hunting, the death adder will lie and wait for prey to come along.
One of the most interesting behaviors of mamba death adder is its aggressive behavior. If it gets disturbed by a larger animal, it will chase after the large animal and attempt to bite it. It has one of the only snakes to attempt to bite multiple times, although most of these bites are dry bites.
P.S. Sorry about the scribbled out the common name at the top. I had a last-minute decision of what I wanted to name it.
