This painting was quite the challenge, but I'm pretty happy how it came out. :]I don't think I've spent so many hours painting a single piece since college, somewhere close to ninety hours in the end.
It's about 11x17 inches and is mostly painted with acrylics.
It's the cover for FurtherConfusion's convention book next January, following their down under theme of "Southern Crossing."
I drew a lot of inspiration for it from my own experiences camping three weeks in the Outback with friends and family a few years ago. :]
From left to right, we've got Diego (dingo), Jack (red kangaroo), a quoll and feral goat up on the truck, a wombat, emu, Diego's mum, an echidna, a numbat in the foreground, a Tasmanian devil and another quoll.

wonderfully done, love the bull bar (toyota landcruiser by the looks of it) and the half gallon barbie, got one of those myself (me dad made it). Nice job mate. Me and my family do this almost every weekend. Nothing beats having a 4x4 and the aussie outback in your backyard.

You are just one of the best anthro drawers here on dA. Your characters got very natural body mass. Plus, the mix between animal faces and human expressions look real and not over-drawn like in many other pictures. Your paintings are how I imagine anthros to look like, if they were real.

Amazing! I had to stare at all the detail for a while in the downloaded full-version.. beautiful lighting and colors.. and it amazes me how well you can draw all those different animals' faces.

What an atmosphere you have created here! I love it! In particular the Dingo and Kangaroo on the left, they bring back memories as years ago I created a couple of characters like them along with a crocodile. Superbly done, I wish I was out there with em!

This is very good! I like how Diego and Jack are talking, but I am sad to see that Bayshore wasn't with Diego. I hope that Bayshore wasn't killed off, he is my favorite character in the DDoS comic.
