Yeah, it really is him! If you go to YouTube and look up How to Train your Dragon 2 trailer and click on the first one that would be it. There's a lot of controversy over the new Hiccup, whether we like him or miss the old one!

You're absolutely right, when I first saw HTTYD 2's Hicup I was like <<Β O.o?!! WHAT!?WTF WHY IS HICCUP DIFFERENT!? They have ruined the film because of this! They just want him to be more sexy or whatever to fit more in the line of Jack Frost or something?>> then I calmed down and realised that they had to change him to make itΒ seems that some years had passed by, still I think they have changed him so much. Finally I accepted, and I must admit he's hot now, but I would prefer a million of billion times the old Hiccup rather than this one.

I think people would accept the new hiccup more of there was a little more of the old Hiccup in the new one. Although IΒ do see why they made him so drastically different.

Well, he was, what 13? 14? No older than 14. And obviously hes a late bloomer. And, really, look at his dad, (we don't ever see his mom) the kids got some good genes! And they wanted it to be obvious that it was a 4-5 year difference between the two movies, so they had to make it look like hes 17- 18 now. They didnt want people to go like, oh, look, 15 year old hiccup. It had to be obvious it was him, but at 18. And by 17-18 if you haven't bloomed, you aint gonna. Yeah, I think they went a little much, but I think they thought it was necessary.

Now I see it. It's supposed that several years have passed and that now he's 17-18 . A Little too much, but if they wanted to make him soo much older, then at least they have a reason.

I completely agree. Hiccup was adorable the way he was. They didn't have to make him into eye candy (which looks like plastic surgery gone real plastic in the trailer anyway) to appeal to the older audience. He was an awkward outcast with the look to suit it and a great plot line.

Well, nothing we do will change it. I'm not saying I don't like the new Hiccup, because I do. Not because he's hot or anything, but because he's still Hiccup. Hopefully, Dreamworks has not modified his character to the point where we don't recognize him anymore.
Don't forget, everyone has to grow up sometime. Hiccup is just a little late on the uptake
