I heard that this is something that can help get artists out of art block; to redesign an old character of yours!

So, here is a redesign of one of my oldest original characters! From like... 7th or 8th grade. She impacted how most of my characters would look (short hair, animal ears/tail, etc). Her name is Wolf and she can turn into a person (shown here) but her real form is that of a - you guessed it - black wolf. She had nature and dark powers.

She was a bit of a mary sue, admittedly. But role playing through her I learned a lot about myself and the kind of person I want to be. Daydreaming her adventures helped me cope with insecurities about myself and made me feel like I WAS a good person. I felt like I really WAS her, and could be courageous, kind, caring, brave, smart and determined just like Wolf. I explored myself and my identity through Wolf and it helped me understand myself and who I want to become in life.
As I grew older in life, I was kind of embarrassed of her and how mary sueish she was. Now that I'm even older (yuck!) I am kinda proud of her. I can appreciate what she helped me with, even if she is JUST a character, she feels more "real" to me because of how much of an impact she had on me growing up.
