Description
i'm trying to find the cureto cancer; i think it might be easier.
i'm searching all the tight spots
and places, asking all the seers
and learned men, pondering and
meditating nights long for my answer;
this thing, love and all sorts of
attachments hooked with it,
how to obtain it.
the sky told me to look towards the
sea. the sea told me the moon told him
what to do. the moon bashfully said it
was the sun. the sun smiled long at
me and I learned nothing - nearly burned
my eyes out.
i'm trying to find the cure
to cancer.
a weathervane sat perched atop
a old barn, spinning wildly in autumn's
crisp air. metallic rooster looked confused
as i was, getting leads and coming back
full circle to another questionable
lead to spin, spin again.
a man walked by, saw my stare at
the contraption, asked what it was i
was after. told him, he laughed; said
he found it easier to make a perpetual
motion machine years ago than attempt
that quandary. held my head low -
a head on my shoulder late nights was
all I ever wanted.
i found the cure to cancer, it was
really quite simple.
i'm trying to find out what love feels
like; past impossible.

Pfft, cancer, that's easy. True love, man, that's like trying to get to the center of the sun with only a toothpick to beat the heat away.
I liked it!

These two parts I find especially amazing.

Wow. This is totally beautiful. (I agree with you. Finding the cure to cancer is easier than finding love.)
Fave.

so let's see, he's trying to find the cure for cancer but only because that's easier than finding a true love? did i get that right. lol. either way, i like the journey he was on, and who he met. I like.
