Are you sure it's a frog and not a toad?
Remember, frogs do the tadpole thing.
That'd be one small tadpole.
I have toads, in the thousands, that small around here in the late spring and early summer.

It is a frog, the toads we have here are bigger and have a different body shape. Their skin is also a different texture.
As a note, is my mom and we live in the same house.

Sure? Not absolutely. Frogs and toads aren't exactly my specialty, but as far as I've been able to discover it is a frog. I've never seen such a small one before, but it has all the same markings and body shape of its (presumably) older kin, which we see so often. My assumption is that it had been a tadpole only recently, and not a frog for very long. We have toads around here too, but I don't think I've got a really good photograph of one yet.
As for staying still, I expected it to hop away before I could grab the camera, but it seemed quite happy just to sit there.
