The Intruder, he is a GWR 4900 Hall Class, it is however it is unknown which Hall locomotive it is as his nameplate and number were removed but the British Railways Crest on his tender and that his livery is British Railways black suggests that he was a Hall that made it to British Railways days and he ended up being scrapped along with the fact that he started appearing during and after the years of British Railways.

BR scrapping him despite years of faithful service to them angered him and his spirit refuses to leave.

Due to him appearing, other engines began calling him “The Intruder”.

Whether “The Intruder” is benevolent or malevolent is up to debate.

It is also said that he can mimic others engines such as their voices but that is also up to debate whether he can or can’t
