Description Make sure you read the rules thoroughly before attempting!!
Here's a mini tutorial of how to make a teacat heat-pack out of a sock ^u^/

What you will need:

+ A Sock
+ Rice [Any kind]
+ Cotton that matches the sock colour
+ Cotton for the eyes, nose, & mouth
+ A Needle
+ A Pen/chalk [whichever you prefer]
+ Scissors

Step 1: Turn your sock inside out and lay it flat [heel side up] and mark these shapes with your pen or chalk and cut as shown. Cut along the lines.

Step 2: Sew along these lines [as shown] and turn all pieces inside out. Stuff in the end parts of the tail, hands, and ears into themselves.

Step 3: Fill body/head with rice up to almost the end. Pack it firmly, sew the bottom opening closed with a running stitch and pull closed. Sew a few more stitches to secure.

Step 4: To make the neck lightly mark the sides halfway down the body and make small gathering stitches along them. [Optional]

Step 5: Mark where you want the tail, hands, and feet to be then sew them on.

Step 6: Mark where you want the face to go and stitch in the eyes, mouth, and nose with a contrasting coloured cotton to the colour of the sock [ie: if the sock is white use black cotton, if the sock is black use white cotton, etc] You can give them any expression you want to. Here are some examples

Finished!

You do not have my permission to repost this or recreate this tutorial.

- Be careful! If you're going to use it as a heat pack, keep an eye on it in the microwave it only needs about a minute but check it every 20-30 seconds.
And if you're adding other materials [like paint, other fabrics, beads, etc] please make sure they're microwave safe!

- If you're not going to use it as a heat pack you can scent it! Either by using essential oils, sprays, actual tea leaves, whatever you want ^^/

- I highly recommend watching Budgethobby's videos for tips and demonstrations on how to sew if you're not used to sewing www.youtube.com/user/BudgetHob…

For this tutorial I've made a new housecat, Socket!

Socket can be made in any colour and pattern so you can choose any sock to make it ^^/

This is NOT permission to design your own teacat.
You can make Socket (shown above) in any colour, teacats that you own, any of the housecats, or another's teacats (providing you have the owner's permission.)
