A local performance art troupe needed an interesting flyer for a coktail/dinner party they were throwing. In talking with the troupe, we decided to do a play on David Westons erotic photos of Peppers. The results are what you see here. Shot with an Eos 10d with Promaster 19-35 zoom. Lighting was overhead flourescent with tungsten desk lamp as side lighting. Backdrop was made with a white sheet and my camera case opened on a table top. The large amount of white space is intentional, as it was used in the flyer for text, and in the photo (seen here) to give a frail, defensless look to the strawberry.Related content

its one of those books.. youre not sure you understood it.. and if you did, you might be nuts. theres parts about it that are so obviously chauvanistic and exploitive.. but by the end, you think its totally normal. the martian is just here to grok everything to its fullness. why not every chick on the planet? ...i guess it was written before the giant AIDS scare...
but if at all one were able to throw the polygamy out of the book.. theres an underlying philosophy that is so much more natural than the dog-eat-dog mentality of the modern Western world.

Yeah, a lot of Heinleins books were like that. There was a lot of philosophy wrapped up in what people thought was pulp sci-fi. You just have to look a little deeper. Try picking up Starship Troopers if you want to see what he says about war, pretty interesting.
