Description
My Invitation for my wedding, and of course I did this myself. The original was 8 1/2 X 11, but shrunk it down using Microsoft Picture It to 6 X 4 1/2, then reprinting them on uncolored bleached Vellum.Related content

Herald's are more important then most ignorant Moderns know. My avatar is a cropped version of my family's, shared by both the MacGillverys and the MacIntosh. If you want an extensive family tree, it pays to have Scottish blood.

Oh wow what a beautiful invitation. And what's more, it's all that more special because it's not someting you can just go out and buy from a store...it was made by the groom himself. Exquisite- I can't get over the beautiful calligraphy.

Well, I think your designs would make great stationary, wedding invitations, wedding scrolls, birth announcements, official documents for awards, certificates, poems, wedding vows, etc. And of course, commissions. Because I know that beautiful calligraphy is what makes an important document more than just a piece of paper! You could even expand your canvas from paper to fabric, wood, etc if you wanted to.
Would everything be hand-done? If so, you should advertise it as such, because people love things that are one-of-a-kind that have been made especially for them. But I also think that you should set up some standard designs, have them printed up, and place the images an internet "gallery" so you can show the to customers as examples of what you have and offer. If you did that, I would make it so that the "standard" design costs less than the personal design. This way, you can avoid being too high-priced for most people, because you will have both high-end work for those that can afford it, but you won't be driving away those that just want a beautiful design without paying a huge amount of money for it. You know what I mean? The hand-drawn, personalized design would cost more than the printed, generic design. That's how I would do it, because this way you'll have a consistent stream of orders between commissions to keep ya going.
Hope that helped lol

Make business cards, then hand then out at appropraite places, like bridal shops and such. I dunno, just a thought, that's what I'd do though.
