Description
Just let go.I learned (if I understood it correctly) a thing about black holes that got me thinking about my life. I'm not a space-ologist so bear with me as I try to explain what I understood.
So if you were watch someone enter a black hole, as they crossed the event horizon they would appear to freeze in time. Something about time dilation that I don't have the brains to wrap my head around yet. I guess all light emitted or reflected by them would also turn red? If you're smart about this stuff by all means correct me.
Anyways, once they hit the event horizon they're gone. There's no coming back. The gravity of the Black hole is inescapable then.
So they're gone but you're left with their image, red and frozen in time.
There's no getting them back because there's nothing anymore to get back. As real and tangible as they may still appear there's nothing left but a vacuum. And it will destroy you if you don't let go.
I stayed tethered to something that I knew was long gone but I didn't let go. I fought and imagined ways to pull it back. I resisted letting go even as it was destroying my life and relationships.
Sometimes it's hard to recognize the signs that something is gone and no longer exists and we can'thave it anymore. Or we reject these signs. Sometimes we feel like we're doing whatever or whomever it is a disservice somehow by letting go or that we're letting go prematurely. But in this case there's nothing there. You can't do a disservice to something that doesn't exist. And putting love, energy, and expectations on something nonexistent will only pull you into ruin.
Want something real. Believe in something real.
When you realize what you you're holding onto doesn't exist just let go and be free of it.
