so like, i had to skip drawing a crapton today because i wasn't feeling well and i had a headache and many other trivial things. but! i woke up about 40 minutes ago and felt really bad that i didn't draw anything.... and i started sketching.i was struck with an intense desire to draw sun wu kong, the monkey king!!!!! like i said, this is a WIP, and i'll try to finish the rest of it tomorrow morningYAAAWWWWNNNN
just in case anyone is wondering... for my more polished drawings, i always do a rough sketch with a one pixel brush in PSCS3 first. cleanup yadda yadda afterward.
this will get better! and, i'll move this to scraps once i finish it.

Wow. what a very clean sketch! ..and how does this clean up yadda yadda goes? I've been meaning to ask how you tighten sketch lines for a very long time now, what do you actually use for that? I'd really appreciate a response. thanks!

basically, i just do the sketch in photoshop with a 1 pixel brush. when i'm happy with it i change the color of the lines into something other than black (usually blue), and then "ink" it by tracing over the sketch with a regular photoshop brush on a layer above it.
i'm basically trying to emulate the pencil-ink process that real, actual, traditional artists use.
