The Fantasy RPG Character SCRUBALL.DEVIANTART.COM===================================================
My character was born in a land of farmers. My family was poor and the small piece of land was not enough to feed us all five children. So I as the eldest son I had to find my own luck in the world.
When I was a small boy I was spending most of my time in the forest, studying the art of hunting from the old Grom. Grom was once a warrior in the army of Moonbrag. A rough veteran - he lost his leg, and gained a wooden one in the greatest battle of our kingdom. After that he became a hunter and returned to his born village - my village. This man has teached me how to track animals and shoot the bow, and how to use the herbs to heal wounds and diseases. But most of all he trained me how to use any sword or other long blade. He also told me his tales of war. As every boy I enjoyed to play a soldier, but from Grom I learned how bad war was in reality. I learned about death, suffering of the simple folks and the greed of the leaders.
When I was 16 I headed for the capitol to find a job, since I was too young to join the army. A merchant that enjoyed hunting took me as his worker. I was helping in his herbs shop. In time the merchant became very confident in my loyality. And just 2 moths before I turned 18 I was sent on a ship to a nearby town with some papers adressed to another merchant.
But at sea our ship was atacked by pirates. Somehow I survived the battle, and when it was all over - the pirates spared my life. For the next four months I was their "guest". The cook was very friendly I must say. He even taken some of his time and together we trained in fencing. The cook showed me some moves with the sword and I learned much.
Finaly I was on the shore, and it was time to go back to the capitol. But on the way I learned that the City suffered a large fire and the merhant was dead. I didn't know what to do now.
But soon on the roads of my fatherland I met a sorcerer. We talked and liked each other. When he found out that I was good with the herbs he proposed me to become his partner, since he was not good enough in that field. And where there is a work to be done for a sorcerer, often there is a work for a healer too. We could also learn a lot from each other.
So for the next 3 years we traveled together from village to village - offering our services. Soon the sorcerer learned a whole lot about herbs and healing, and it became obvious that I couldn't cast even the simplest spell. But anyway I gained a good knowledge about the art of Magic.
And when the third year of our partnership was closing to an end I realised I had to go further.
That is how my adventure begins!
