Description
One thing that irked me as well as many others about Windows 8 is the fact that most of the icons remain unchanged from Windows 7. While these icons looked great in conjunction with Aero, Metro (Modern/Windows 8 Style) is a different animal entirely and should be treated as such. In this case, maintaining consistency throughout the entire user experience, right down to the icons and staying loyal to the principles that make this new UI so unique and clean. The old icons (as well as various other, possibly more jarring visual artifacts) are in essence vestigial remnants of the past.So with this sample, I'm inviting anyone who's willing, to create an icon pack for Windows 8 based off of the sample(s) I've created. Obviously, that includes special folders, libraries and system folders. If something similar already exists, I encourage you to post a link below. I can't really provide compensation for anyone who wants to do this, I'm just throwing this out there since I'm far too busy to take on the task at the moment.
Edit
First pack can be found here .

That's fantastic! The flatter, simpler icons really helps Windows 8's file explorer.

Thanks! I might at least create a set for the special folders (Music, Videos, Documents etc...) in what free time I have.
