The theory is that Oliver is the eevee from a few "meanwhile..." comics ago in the flash back, and that Eve was the egg that the eevee was carrying. The eevee in the "meanwhile..." comic was wearing/carrying both the pendants. The pendants that were in the box in the previous comic react to both Oliver and Eve when exposed to them. It's possible that when Oliver is exposed to the other pendant that he turns back into the eevee in the "meanwhile..." comic, but this may not work because the other pendant appears to be cracked. As for what happened to Eve, I'm not entirely sure, but I'm trying to find more information about it. The "meanwhile..." comic was the one after comic #89 "Grape juice".
