Hmm... ย I guess, you have to look at it in a "Vitruvian Man" kinda way. Study the proportion of each element in relation to each other, e.g. the length of a thumb vs the palm, the palm vs the fingers, the fingers vs each other, the digits, etc. and know the limits of their articulation and how they act and behave collectively and such.
