I think it's sleep deprivation that makes me find this sort of character-abomination on my sketchpad... That, and watching a lot of "Futurama"...I mean, look at it? Wouldn't I have to wait until dark Sunday morning to post this thing? Low DA traffic, and all? I fell asleep a couple of times in the middle of this....I would have posted it last night, but, ka-pow, Mr. Sandman pulled a cold blooded hit with me right at desk. What gives?

Can I start off with some texture love? Because seriously. Those be some yummilicious textures you have going on.
Also, this just works for me. I love Zoidberg (my friends and I actually have a secret hand signal for this . . . hehe.) and he works quite well as Captain Jack.
Sigh . . . now I want to watch PotC and Futurama!

The bandanna & sash textures are hand-drawn, and part of the original line art....the rest is probably manufactured by photoshop in order to give it a "old-timey" picture look...

Ahh, cool. The pen-textures I guessed, it was the overall grainy look that I meant to compliment. It's usual for your stuff to look so . . . gritty and I really liked how it matched with the pirate theme.
