Description
Pluvia Luventutis - Child By BloodWeeks passed. Sammy was still in her room. All her food had been served there and she hadn’t taken a bath since the incident. Then all of a sudden, Hingilar knocked on her bedroom door, not even close to mealtime. “What is it?” Sammy asked.
“Listen, Sammy, I know how you feel, but you can’t stay like this. So I tell you what, you’re gonna be moving out.”
“What?!” Sammy shouted angriliy.
“Yes, you’re moving out, repeated Hingilar. “Of course, I can’t leave you on the streets,” he joked, “so you are moving to another dimension.”
Dumbfounded by the sudden news, Sammy could only follow her father to where he wanted to take her. She didn’t really have anything to pack. The only thing that Skye ever gave her was her golden, eight-bladed necklace. This piece of jewellery was one of the two things that meant Skye’s life. Because Sammy was precious to her little sister, Skye had given her necklace as a gift of bond to Sammy.
The other item was a silken scarf. It was a milk-white scarf, with silver orchard flowers in the background and pink blossoming orchard flowers also in the background. In the scarf, a great mass of Iuo energy was fused with the scarf, causing it to be a powerful relic. One of the abilities in the scarf was to change the colour of the red flowers. Only Sammy and Skye knew that ability, even though that that was the only ability they knew at the time. So Skye and Sammy agreed with the colour of pink, because it went well with the milky-white and silver background. Another thing about the scarf was that it was pretty large. Though Skye could make it fit perfectly to her body size and neck, the scarf itself could be compacted. Skye could even be wrapped up like a baby and would fit snuggly an comfortably into the scarf.
Hingilar took his daughter down to his basement, where he hid an ancient-technology built portal. He took off its cover and blew off the dust from the control panel. He tapped a few buttons and within the ring of stone and wood the portal frame was made of, a portal with a purplish-blackish vortex split open and formed. Hingilar told Sammy to follow him as he walked into the portal. Sammy nervously followed, coming out on the other end. She had come out of a massive tree. One that had been covered with moss and was inhabited by a city of animals. The city was not one of those trees that were large enough to fit literal cities, but the bottom of the trunk was large enough to fit a portal waypoint, which were usually large enough to fit a medium-sized golem, which the dimensions were a cube shape of 10 metres long, wide, and high. Or for reference, they were large enough to be fit into the bottom of the trunk of the treetopia.
After exiting, Sammy followed her father through the forest and into a plains. Not far from the plains was a lone house. Surrounding the house were fields and fields of flowers. Eventually, after a long walk over the stone paths that were embedded into the ground, that led to the house’s front door, Hingilar paused for a moment before knowcking the door. The door was soon opened, revealing a white wolf, about 1.9 metres in height. When the wolf looked up, she was met with a hug from Hingilar. “Oh, my little Snowflake, I’ve missed you so much.” Hingilar said gratefully.
“Hingilar, I can’t believe you came back,” the wolf replied.
“It’s only been 26 years, no? You still haven’t changed one bit.”
“Who’s this with you?” The wolf asked, looking at Sammy.
“This is Sammy, and she’ll be staying with you.”
“Staying?” The wolf said with suspicion. “‘Staying’ is a very suspicious word. Did something bad happen?”
To this, Hingilar’s face grew grim. “Well, first things first,” he began with a low voice, “Sammy is our adopted daughter. Second thing’s second….”
“Second thing’s second…what?” The wolf replied with a hint of impatience in her tone.
“Second thing’s second, Skye is gone.”
‘Skye’s…gone?” The wolf repeated.
“Yes, unfortunately,” Hingilar confirmed gravely. Then Hingilar explained to the wolf about every detail that Sammy had shared with him, along with every experience that Skye had shared with her.
“No,” said the wolf with unbelief and grief her voice shaking, “not my daughter.”
The front door was silent for a while, only sniffling could be heard, before Aniu spoke up again. “And this one is her older sister?” She asked, looking at Sammy again. “If that’s the case, and if-if Skye trusted her so much, then could I take her under my custody?” Asked Aniu with a broken but hopeful tone.
“R-Really?” Sammy said with a small voice.
“Yes really,” Aniu replied with a smile. She touched Sammy at the side of her neck and transferred some of her power to her. “You are now a true part of the family young-one.”
Sammy gasped with excitement. “Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you.” She said as she embraced her new blood mother.
“Anything for my young child,” Aniu smiled as she embraced Sammy back.
