That is understandable, I can't see it myself but it was a very eerie place. Thanks a lot.

I love black and white photography. There's a moodiness in it that is lost when color is added.

I think I know what you mean but I also think that the mood already exists in the scene which the photographer sees and chooses to isolate or enhance it by taking it into black and white but this can also remove other moods. When colour remains in the image it can show the same mood with a little twist. For example, in this image the coldness that I experienced doesn't come through as much as in the colour version because I was focusing on the feeling of vulnerability rather than cold and loneliness. It all really depends on what the photographer wants to say about the scene and what feelings he/she whishes to evoke in the photos viewers.
Thanks for your comment Kathleen

You're welcome! You're right. There's just a different emotional response I have when I look at black and white. It may be because it brings me back to my youth, when I was into retro 40's culture.

I love the atmosphere and I'm completely hypnotized by it. Maybe a guy is going to come out of the fog!

Cheers! Yeah it gives you that feeling of vulnerability as it's dark and quiet.

Cheers, yeah it's not very original but Iām still learning. It is similar in that both shots are black and white and there isn't very strong lighting but the composition is a lot different.
Thanks for commenting mate!
