Description Phil Cobb was a small time criminal in Gotham who is convinced that he needs a gimmick to hit it big. Inspired by the Bat-Signal, he becomes the Signalman, using signals, signs, and symbols in his crimes, but is inevitably defeated by Batman and Robin, time and again. He is also a member of the Secret Society of Super-Villains. For a brief time, Cobb changes his modus operandi and, inspired by Green Arrow and his foes, commits crimes as the Blue Bowman. But after that, in modern age he has since then gone back to the Signalman persona.

Another obscure batman villain.

The Signalman belongs to DC comics.

He could be useful when helping A-List villains.

Yeah, they are making supervillains out of anythign do they? I reimagined him only in his blue bowman persona in my arrow reboot.

Ha ha, how true. Whats next? Bowling man? He tosses bowling balls that blows up vault doors and lets him steal the money!....actually, that sounds like a good concept for a batman 66 villain.

Heh, indeed! Speaking of, I never got that the blue bowman identity of the earth 3 Green arrow in brave and the bold was an tribute to Signalman before I learned about him.

I think anything related to sports, the Sportsmaster may have already done that at several points.

I know. That's why I went with the route I took.

Hmmm...you may have a point there. Okay, how about this then? The Lumberjack! A lumberjack themed villain who cuts down very rare types of trees to sell them! The perfect enemy for Poison Ivy with batman caught in the middle!

And thats cool!

That can work. Axes can be genuinely dangerous so a darker serious version and a comical version are both perfectly possible.

Heh, yeah! I can imagine it now.

The Darker version was offered a job to cut down a forest. The man who employed him? Dagger! But, as he has cut down most of the forest along with the people that work for him, it turns out that the forest was actually preserved and not allowed to be cut down. Dagget originally planned to buy the forest to build a factory there, but hired the Lumberjack to do the job anyway before he had done it.

Then, Dagget manages with the help from his lawyers to make it seem like he never hired the Lumberjack, which leads to the Lumberjack going to prison, and losing his job, and his wife leaves him as she too believes that the Lumberjack has done something criminal.

This drives the Lumberjack insane and craves for a thirst for vengeance against Dagget, so when he gets out of prison the Lumberjack plans to...well. Cut down everything that belongs to Dagget. Destroying his properties, and so on, and he won't rest until he has put an axe in Dagget's back.

I did a thing with the Red Riding Hood in my reboot, but she pales compares to this idea you have. Reminds me I may need to consider updating my batman reboot with the likes of Savage Skull, and think of a better villain of my own.

oh, and that reminds me, I need to catch up on your DC reboot. (I feel so ashamed I ended up hanging so much behind.  ) I'll try to see if I can continue a bit later this evening!
