Description
The Riddler from Batman: The enemy within. Still a bit bummed he died, but at least his death helps to tell the story and it wasn't a pointless death. And who knows? maybe he will be resurrected in the future, but who knows. He was awesome and probably the best Riddler in other media.
"Stop me if you heard this one...I begin and have no end...and I end all that begins...who am I?.....DEATH...I am Death."
The Riddler belongs to DC comics.

You're right! My sister said that this Riddler is cool enough without possessing someone or getting possessed by someone, in fact that he is not degrading as that stupid lazy boring gold-fever douche Ganondorf who's not entirely honest/gratuitous/imaginative with the "Evil Dead" torture-porn special effects (which helps the demonic possession scene to show a true sense of crude ugliness that normally always comes with dark thoughts) as Beatlejuice!

Although it's a shame that the Riddler was never confirmed in "Injustice" games as an official playable character. I know the Arkham version of the Riddler is as much a push-over as the 1995 version, but I for one that this version of him is most definitely not!

A boring kind of super duper ultra mega bad ! That time as a teenager, my sister Anti-Twili was expecting "Twilight Princess" to a spin-off game noteworthy since "Wand Of Gamelon" (from Philips CD-I) with Princess Zelda as a playable character via the title just because her design is badass realistic-looking, as well as having a rapier. But then she found out that the game is just another mainstream type where Zelda is once again a damsel in distress and a NPC, although that's not what pisses my sister off .
Here's the plot so far: my sister will tell this... 'The game itself marks the first time Zelda is depicted as the reigning head of state, though she retain the title of princess which is previously she had been the apparent daughter/heir to the reigning monarch whose fate was never mentioned, or times her precise relation to to the throne was unspecified , and I don't know since when or how did she became skilled with sword . The main plot, though has less screen-time, is when Zelda surrendered herself, however, to a lustful usurper Zant at the opening of the game, in order to save her people from war with Zant's superior forces, though he never kept his word and decides a mass genocide behind her back as it doesn't matter if she choose to either surrender or die . She is imprisoned in an empty attic-tower in Hyrule Castle, and uniquely unaffected by the Twilight's toxic (I call it that because its more fitting than 'magic' ) that is widely spread and veiled the entire kingdom. It is here that she meets Link, transformed into a wolf by that vary toxic, and his good-for-nothing companion Midna, whom Nintendo shamelessly wasted the title on as the legitimate Twilight Princess. She later gives up all her energy, soul, power and even Triforce of Wisdom in order to heal the dying Midna, quickly leaving behind only her empty shell of flesh, blood and bone, the body which is collapses in process afterwards (I only said that because it make more sense than 'literally disappearing'/'loosing her physical form', there's way Zelda could actually escape the tower with Midna and Link ). Towards the end of the game, which is the very worse part I find extremely unbearable and cringe-worthy ; Zelda hallowed body is possessed by Ganondorf, this is only moment shown that Zelda fights with sword, which she was supposed to wield it at her own willpower , that is not fair what a waste! What the hell were they thinking? A possessed person was supposed to be transformed in a hideous looking ghoul that is glad in rags and attack with only claws, teeth and vomiting, NOT LIKE THIS ! Though Zelda's body then in turn purged by Midna, allowing the rightful owner's soul to regain it via Zelda herself revived . As Ganondorf charges Link and Zelda, the princess summons the Light Spirits of Hyrule, who grant her the Light Arrows to assist Link in part of his final battle, making this her third participation in it.' Now you see why?
My sister loves TP!Zelda only as a 'Normal/Free-Willed Zelda', not a 'Puppet/Possessed Zelda', and she is not satisfied with such a pointless story Nintendo put up that way. See how she likes and dislike about the character.
Why 'Normal/Free-Willed Zelda' is good and fun? Because it was good and kick-ass enough for Anti-Twili when that alone; TP!Zelda is kind, serene, selfless, stoic, regal, brave, wise and majestic, she has such a gorgeous hair-style (she thought the hair color was strawberry blond) and an pretty costume too! Blue eyes and light peachy clear skin are also look okay on her, just as the way my sister liked. She deserves to be a main protagonist of such a realistic game right after her older counterpart from two of the three CD-I game based on "The Legend Of Zelda" series; "Wand Of Gamelon" in 1993 and "Zelda's Adventure" in 1994, as Anti-Twili was expecting her to be, not the other way around. I know, Phillips CD-I games are so ugly and unrealistic that many fans generally immensely criticize them and are not recognized by Nintendo as canon, but at least that was the first time that Zelda is been already portrayed with a sword way before "Twilight Princess" and then "Hyrule Warriors" came.
Why 'Puppet/Possessed Zelda' is bad and boring? Because she looks more like a mean loser mashed-up of those inherently selfish skanks named Azula, Holli Would, Azshara, Paula Cracker, Sedusa, and Jadis the White Witch on the acid trip...you know, on drugs! Anti-Twili hated Puppet Zelda being having the same body-shape, wearing same hair and outfit, and even wielding the same weapon and magic as Normal Zelda because it'll portrays her as a bitch in the sheep's clothing with a spit personality (which is normal for "Gotham" version of the Riddler). Also, Anti-Twili always hated the yellow eyes and the green tattooed skin so much that she thinks that make TP!Zelda look really stupid and suck-ass unless Puppet Zelda is a super psychotic hideous ghoulish character in rags to opposed to Normal Zelda. Besides, being called 'puppet' means that TP!Zelda is a heartless arrogant self-absorbed narcissistic materialistic spoiled-rotten irresponsible sadistic dirty coward who willingly sold her own country to the evil forces and join the douchebag cult of vicious tattooed crooks after spending all her money to earn full-body tattoos for herself instead of loan it to the children's hospitable, leaving her subjects who once trusted/loved her now forming a rebellion against her, that how my sister felt that way.
Being 'Ganon's Puppet: Zelda' is the main reason why TP!Zelda is the worse Zelda ever written. Yep, Anti-Twili totally agreed that Telltale!Riddler is the best , that's because--according to her--he doesn't need to be possessed by that stupid douche Ganondorf when he can actually fight on his own just fine as always!

Good, you don't have to play "Twilight Princess" and don't bother doing it so anyway, just look into the Wikipedia or Zelda Wiki with "Twilight Princess" tagged in them.
Because first of all it's just equally as bad as both "Zootopia" and Disney's "Star Wars", secondly it's nothing like "The Exorcist" & "Evil Dead" (both of which more entertaining than that train-wrack of the video-game), and finally it'll mind-rape you with it's stupid lazy 'fuck-you' moments.
Want to know what a 'Puppet Zelda' is? it's an over-popularized enemy and one of the official major bosses in "Twilight Princess". Unlike Puppet Ganon (who is a giant shifting mechanical clone of Dark Beast Ganon himself) in "Wind Waker", Puppet Zelda is actually Zelda been possessed by Ganondorf. Here are four inrational traits why my sister don't like about her...
1, unlike Dinah Beret (From "Ghostbusters") and Claire Brooster (from the "Beetlejuice" cartoon), Zelda was never seen wearing different set of more embarrassing or uncomfortable clothes which serves as go-go enslavement outfits even while she's been possessed. Instead she still wearing the same dress and jewelry throughout the entire game, she looks more like a materialistic bigot with a gold fever lacking any sign of go-go enslavement.
2, unlike Abba (from "The Witcher") and Daphne (from "Dragon's Liar"), Zelda did not ended up physically transformed into a ghoulish deformed monster even in her mindless cursed state, she instead remain an normally human-like hot babe apart from yellow eyes and Twili-tattooed green skin which made her looked like an spoiled-rotten egotistical tattooed crook who is so needy for a attention from the horniest of the male audience.
3, unlike the other unfortunate characters from "The Exorcist", "Evil Dead" and "Repossessed", Zelda was never seen fighting in a savage psychotic act of cannibalism, didn't even bother to transforming her bare hands and teeth into sharp crooked claws and spikes/tusks and attacking with them, never actually seen the excessive vomiting/drooling nor head-spinning, barely seen covered in untreated deeply self-harm induced cuts/bruises, hardly covered in filth and barely loosing a limb. Instead she still looks clean, neat and uninjured, and still wields the royal rapier and casts golden light magic as she implied does in her own willpower...yeah that really reminds of my sister of non-possessed always-willful characters; King Einon (from "Dragonheart") and Jadis the White Witch (from "Chronicles Of Narnia" movie adaption). Since she's been possessed she should have replacing the 'golden light magic through the sword' with 'black acid slime through vomiting', and the power float is one of Ganon's abilities not her own.
And 4, unlike J R R Tolkien's Elves who were turned into Orcs, Zelda (and Cia from "Hyrule Warriors") didn't seemed loose her sense of regal beauty and graceful elegance even when he's been corrupted by Ganon's dark power, also reminds my sister of more non-possessed willful characters; Holli Would (from "Cool World"),Catwoman (from "Batman Returns"), Poison Ivy (from "Batman & Robin"), Azula (from "The Avatar: The Last Air-Bender"), Azshara (from "Warcraft") and Paula Cracker (from "Gorillaz"). She could/should have replace it with that of monstrous vulgarity and crude ugliness like any possessed victim would naturally do.
See? There is nothing sexy or cool about getting corrupted when possessed! As Ash rationally puts in to the possessed/corrupted Sheela; 'Honey, you get real ugly!'. And Winston rationally put in to Ray after he was free from the demonic possession twice; 'Ray, you were not pretty when you were possessed, seriously!'.
Well, my sister is very glad you liked TP!Zelda only as 'Normal Zelda', not as 'Puppet Zelda'. Also when it comes in First4Firgure, don't buy a 'Puppet Zelda' statue because, you guessed it, it looks the same as a 'Normal Zelda' one.
Anyway, my sister loves Telltale!Riddler as much as you did, she said that he was awsome enough that he does not need a pointless demonic-possession from Ganon (or anyone else for that matter) to get involved into his own battles. How's that?

And yet that stupid cynical bitch named Midna remorselessly called Princess Zelda an 'criminal' by putting any real criminal's crimes of all kinds (including the Riddler's) on her rather viciously, as my sister Anti-Twili found out in the "Twilight Princess" manga adaptation. Anti-Twili totally doubt that Lucius Fox's daughter Tiffany is going straight forwardly to assassinate Zelda with an poison-dart, in fact she knows who killed her father and who did not. But Midna is a dirty coward who doesn't care at all, she just want to see Hyrule burn to ruins and wants to see Zelda dead! My sister said that Midna should be villain in all time because she's an whole lot worse than even this Riddler.

Yeah, my sister hates Midna. She said that Midna functions as a villain and enemy to Link as should be, far better than as a hero and a ally. Again Tiffany swore revenge but doesn't know who killed her father yet, unless Midna use that opportunity to swap files that'll motivates Tiffany into thinking the culprit responsible for the violent assault on the Wayne Tower is Princess Zelda of Hyrule before Bruce Wayne could get a chance tell her the truth about the real culprit is actually the Riddler.

Not to mention even the Agency knew whom they been chasing after and whom they're not. Imagine that if Midna is ever involved watching all that is occur in events of "The Enigma", during Lucius Fox's federal she sneaks into the Wayne Tower and secretly swapping the Riddler's psychological files (which Agent Avesta gave to Batman earlier) with forged fake ones with Princess Zelda of Hyrule in them, before Tiffany showed up to study them in order to identify her father's killer. Midna knew she could use a distant foreigner/stranger that has nothing to do with Hyrule yet wants to advenge their loved one's death, and found a perfect pawn in Tiffany because Link--due to the fact he's one of those with the Spirit of the Hero who are always loyal to those with the Blood of the Goddess--was too awe-stroke to even willingly attack Zelda despite of the fact Midna kept telling him that Zelda commits child-kidnapping...which is actually King Bulblin's crime. With Tiffany Fox, easily convinced by those fake files saying that Princess Zelda (instead of the Riddler) is the one who created the puzzle-box, immediately left Gotham in the attempt to murder Hyrule's sole monarch who in actuality is far too miserable, grieving, compassionate and helpless to be someone that intentionally and personally has her 'beef' with the Dark Knight. Plus the Riddler is left spared through the entire season with Tiffany gone. Like my sister said, Midna wants not only Zant but Zelda as well to be dead, and again Midna is Azula the freaking Daffy of the Fire-bender and uses a frame-job against Zelda! Think of what Rainbow Randolph did to frame Smoochy the Rhino, and what Judge Doom did to frame Roger Rabbit.

Oh yeah! After his first encounter with Batman, he left Batman a puzzle box. "Solve my Puzzle soon, or people are gonna get hurt!" Batman managed to solve the Box...but when he did, it just gave off a weird sound. He had NO idea what it was, so he asked Lucius to take a look at it.....and...well. Lucius found out what it was, but it was too late. It turned out that the puzzle Box was transmitting a homing signal...a signal that lead a Homing missile straight to it...And since Lucius had the box....Ka-boom!

ProMonarchyGenius In reply to Generalobiwankenobi7 [2018-11-10 11:10:12 +0000 UTC]
Simple, Anti-Twili knows the big difference between characters who are cynical assholes and those who are actually unwitting victims of an virus-like demonic possession. Cynical assholes are usually born narcissistic self-serving villains, they appear to look normal and clean in neat expensive clothes, they can fight with literal weapons of their choice like swords or guns and won't risk loosing a limb or two even during the combat. Possessed victims are once normal-looking (even harmless) people who happen to be caught up in the trap and became affected by an unnatural force that twisting them and changing into something less than human, now they appeared to be crazy and violent with a lack of hygiene, sense of crude ugliness, a total disregard of their own safety and even a act of cannibalism, they attack only by biting, clawing and vomiting-- sometimes can using any sharp strong object as a murder weapon such as a broken piece of glass or a pair of scissors or box-cutter or a knife or an chainsaw or a crowbar like any low-class maniac would do--they fully focused their prey even if it means loosing their body-parts.
So while Telltale!Riddler is a cynical asshole who really looks and acts like a cynical asshole, Twilight!Zelda became a possessed victim to Ganondorf but she ends up looking and acting more like a cynical asshole than a genuine possessed victim as she was supposed to be.
And possessed are not suppose to be as sexy as they were on their own willpower, you know!

Those are very different characters and circumstances. Possessed Zelda herself isn't a character of her own. It's just Ganondorf in Zelda's body. I really don't get how you came to that conclusion. When a character is possessed, they act under the influence of whoever or whatever is possessing them. Nothing more.
My point about the Telltale Riddler is that he acts all smart and clever, but in the end is rather easily outsmarted and beaten. He doesn't even have any good riddles.

Still not seeing the badass given how easily Batman beat him. All he did was swing a cane at Batman which Batman easily blocked and just socked him in the face. Quite a one-sided battle.
Also, he didn't outsmart Batman when he killed Lucius. He got lucky in killing Lucius, since the missile wasn't even for Lucius. It was really an accident. And when he and Batman did match wits, Batman once again easily escaped his trap and foiled his plan by just guiding the missiles into the water. Then he just beat Riddler up. He wasn't much of a threat.
Then there's the fact that he's really more of a serial killer who tells riddles and builds Saw style death traps then the criminal genius who simply wants to prove how smart he is in the comics. I personally don't find that interesting.

Or, none of his victims die. Someone losing their hearing is a small price to pay compared to death, which you can easily prevent with a press of a button and boom, Riddler's plans fall apart. And when you go toe-to-toe, he's easily beaten. All he does is swing his cane at you, compared to the host of fighters you face in these games-Penguin, Lady Arkham, Bane, Riddler is incredibly unimpressive.
Also, the real thing I don't like about this Riddler is his riddles are lazy. His final riddles are just questions with obvious answers. Nothing clever. All in all, he's just a serial killer with a gimmick here, a Saw villain. Not the brilliant criminal genius he is the comics who does things purely just to show how smart he is. He rarely kills in the comics because it's beneath him.
I guess so. I just wanted to know what people see in this Riddler.
