This was a MAJOR pain in the ass to draw because I had no reference for the cat ;u; I could glance at galleries of cheetahs but there are SO FEW stocks of cheetahs running, so thank God it came out as good as this So please, no serious anatomy crit - there was so much guesswork here XD I also used a smaller shading brush and set the layer to multiply instead of wrestling with overlay and highlighted.

Story:

“Ow!” Leo exclaimed. “Chupa, you are no housecat! Now get your head out of my truck!” he had to push the big friendly animal’s head out of the way as he stepped out. “Stop goofing off,” he scolded. “You need to be on your best behavior. You’re racing against new cats now – the only ones you’ve ever raced have been your own buddies. Don’t want to make a bad impression, now do we?”

            Chupa let out a low growl as if in agreement and then proceeded to prance and dance, clearly excited. New sights, new sounds, new smells, new terrain, and all of it was amazing. He kept acting like a big puppy dog.

            He saddled and bridled, and then forced to wait impatiently while Leo had to get his own racing attire on. This was taking forever – he was ready to get out there and run!

            FINALLY Leo came out, and Chupa instantly bounded up with excitement. This was it! He knew that racing attire anywhere, today he was going to go out there and show them his stuff!

            Leo took the large feline’s reins and gave him a stern look. “Behave,” he muttered, but there was a smile playing in his words. He was just as excited as Chupa was.

            Zenith poked his head out from around the trailer. “Hey guys?” he called.

            “Yes?” Leo turned to him.

            “It’s time.”
