I like to take pictures during the painting of my projects in order to detach myself from the subject a bit and check if everything is going according to my rudimentary plan.

Nearly finished the right hand and the tomato slices. The knife and the left hand need more work, obviously.

In this same section you'll find the reference photo I composed. The blurry light in the blue are studio lights and aren't supposed to be in there.

Oil on panel. 90 x 30 cm. Aprrox. 10 hours of work and counting.
