I originally started this painting about 5 years ago. It was just going to be a study of the shadow and light play in my apartment bedroom in Tampa, FL.. I left it unfinished until now. The latest work on it was inspired by recently being made aware of this realm that underlies the physical world.16x20. acrylic and spray paint on canvas.

The doors of perception? It does seem to lead to parallel place, complete with landscape, flow and movement...I get the feeling of sunset and sky entering and shadows dripping down the walls from the light. Beautiful.

I think it's gorgeous! I really like the sense of organised "chaos2 in this picture - it really seems like all the colours are there for a reason. To me it looks like two things...a smokestack and a tainted sky, or a staircase leading up into the "world above." Great piece!

thanks. it was like the 8 millionth i tried. i'm not a huge fan, but it'll do. i am a butch-trans-lebsi-dyke, but not a huge fan of blood. it sounds cool all together, though.
