Description
I recently discovered the Gargoyles series was available on youtube, so I was finally able to see them all after so many years. This particular drawing was spawned from an animation sketch, where I thought Elisa was playfully tugging at Goliath's wing. Turns out it was rope, which is why I had to create the idea myself because it sounded so darn cute. I really love this couple, even though the show makes it blatantly obvious between the characters and then doesn't really let them get close enough. That was frustrating, but in the end love is free and nobody needs to get married and have kids to make it official, (Besides, that could get really weird with this kind of pairing. I don't want to get freaky with gargoyles). For me, it's the complicated relationships that are more exciting –the thrill of the chase.Creating this took a little longer than intended and then the show style isn't what I was really going for, but it looks fine. At least there is effort put into the background!

Their relationship has such a long and great build up. With Avatar TLA one of the best shows ever made. Not just as a cartoon show. Show in general. It was the great short time period when disney tells dark and gorgours storylines..and be courage at the same time..
And..that IS pretty damn cute

Aww, nothing really beats Goliath and Elisa Maza as a perfect romantic Disney couple version of Belle and Beast from Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (1991).
And still enjoyed GARGOYLES TV series.
I even wished and wondered what will happen if this series received a following sequel, or better yet, a Live-Action film version of this.

I know they have comics covering the story and heard there was a live-action, but not many live action adaptations come out too stellar.

Yeah, it's too bad no one amongst the movie directors or movie companies haven't planned to bring Gargoyles to life as a film. Because if they did, it would be wonderful and epic to watch that in theaters as a live-action film.

Love this. Wish they would bring this show back "Gargoyles New Adventures". Perhaps one day you will do a Goliath with Demona, but for now happy with this one.

Y'know, toward the end of the series, their relationship *is* sorta cemented. And then apparently in the comics its explored a little more too, but I haven't read those.
Either way, this is a pretty stunning bit of work. Awesome.

Ok that is really cute. I knew he had a playful side. It just took Elisa to bring it out.

It was available on Disney XD, but I'm afraid they took it down. You may be able to find it somewhere else.

This does look like a panel from "The Goliath Chronicles". Well Done.
also. There's nothing wrong with inter species offspring!
Though the show's creator did say that since humans & gargoyles are so different, that Goliath & Elisa would never be able to have children without magical intervention.

I've been looking all over for a chance to read them online, since my library doesn't have any of them, but so far no luck. $88 is steep for a comic I may only read once.

I know. They didn't use to be that expensive.
I'm sure you can find someone to sell for a better price somewhere else. I just wish it was easier for you.

Wonderful artwork! I think I have an idea of what scene you're talking about, if it's the same one I did think the same thing XD I love the pose here
I just recently re-watched this series as well, and I must say it's my favorite show that came from the Disney Afternoon, remember always being excited to see the next episode when I was a kid, it was a very different take on cartoons at the time and took risks that made it awesomely great. I think actually I appreicate this series even more as an adult than I did as a kid when it first came on XD

I do too. When it came out I was about 3 or 4 and I know I had some of the action figures, but couldn't really watch the tv series.

I have no idea what happened to mine. I bet my mother got rid of them behind my back, but I'm sure I had Lexington and Goliath. The tails were trouble.

I think because the show is crap is the reason they keep it there, gotta pay to see anything watchable.
