Description Very early doodles of some nefarious villains who personify our most primitive fears. I came up with these guys as though they would be video game bosses, but I don't actually have a game idea to go with them. I just do this sort of thing every day, really, adding endlessly to an overwhelming mountain of unused characters. Really wish I had a proper outlet.

In no particular order:

Fear of Vermin - conceived as an ugly but "cartoonish" animal crawling with parasitic insects. Physically the weakest of the horror lords, but indispensable as their eyes and ears, sharing a permanent telepathic link with any invertebrate tasting his blood.

Fear of Sickness - comprising an entire forest of stinging weeds, Fear of Sickness is a plant-based lifeforce that imprisons human men in her massive pods to incubate terrible viruses within their bodies; an act that she considers romantic, treating every new disease as one of her "children". She communicates through a harmless walking flower-like avatar.

Fear of Death - a large, rotten monster (I think I like the crab version best) that contaminates water with its un-dead blood, turning all who drink it into zombies.

Fear of Pain - actually resembling a large, floating heart, Fear of Pain keeps itself protected by a metal shell while it invades human minds and dredges up their most hated memories, deepest worries and whatever other soft spots it can pick at.

Fear of Destruction - a metal-plated monster that leads an army of explosive biomechanoids. Here I've doodled it in fish-like shapes but I really have no idea what I'd want him to look like. You might think that Death and Destruction would step on one another's toes, but Fear of Destruction has no interest in killing; only burning and smashing what others have worked hard to create.

Fear of Law (not shown) - would be a normal boring human woman who manages the horror lords as one would a business, keeping the five monsters cooperating smoothly with rules and regulations that they abide by without question, making her technically the most powerful of the six.
