Description "Robot Love" is an 18,000 square foot art gallery and independent music festival here in Melbourne, Florida, running from the 20th to the 29th this month. My friends got me into as a surprise

I came up with this idea spur-of-the-moment and have until the 15th to finish it. I have never made a big sculpture or anything like this in my entire life, I just sort of guessed how I could, and it worked. The flesh is being made of spray-painted foam insulation, and the tentacles are paper mache over coat hangers. The interior of the bowl looks awesome gross as a giant orifice, I know, but my intent is to carve it later (re-painting where needed) so I can have the tentacles and eyestalks coming out.

Some of my scrapped Mortasheen drawings will also be on display and for sale (the guy running it recommended $50 each if I put them in plexiglass...he swears they'll sell. My experience with online commissions could have fooled me )

Paper mache and coat hangers? Fantastic! Genius!

Of course, I'd admire you even if you were building a life-sized, mutant... um, I actually can't think of anything funnier than a toilet...

Anyway, I think it's good that more people will be exposed to the wonderful art of Jonathan Wojcik.

Those are the bases for the insulation foam that'll turn them into meaty glop (well, already has. My sculptures are 90% done!)

What are the entrails made from, anyway? I love how squishy they look.

Everything that isn't toilet is made of expanding canned insulation foam

Pornographic! I love the way you've executed the "I shat out my visceral mass" look.

Khorosho is absolutely right. I'm lucky to make $100 in a month or 2 but if I haul my patches and stuff to a show, I can make $100 in an hour or 2. (Unfortunately I'm not organised enough yet to do shows regularly.)

Such a radical departure from your usual work method looking so good is terribly impressive. Yeah, in a gallery setting you'll have a higher sell rate. It may be only a little higher, but as opposed to online where almost nothing is sold .. well, the comparison is obvious.

trust me - when art is in a gallery setting, physical and to be seen in person, it can be bought much more easily than over the internet. this looks amazing, by the way. please take photos of your gallery show
