SLIMY JOE, WHERE'D YOU GO?!Drawn very lazily and sloppily with my wrong mouse.
They're not meant to come off as a parody of the Scooby Doo gang, but as yet another Hanna Barbera sister series that would have existed alongside them. There were at least half a dozen. Jabberjaw, Captain Caveman, Funky Phantom, Goober and the Ghost Chasers, Speed Buggy, Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space, Clue Club...

I think I'd actually watch a Scooby Doo knockoff if the obligatory goofy animal sidekick was a painfully cute giant snail. Seriously, that thing is adorable.

I'm jealous of people who can draw with the stylus! It seems like it should be so much easier, but it just hurts my hand and makes my lines all wiggly!

the mouse is alot more controled but the stylus gives you the ability to apply all the years of practice you get with real media/art school. Since alot of people get trained at art schools or start with real media stylus feel alot more natural to them then mouse.

Even as a child, I realized that all of those Hanna Barbara mystery-solving cartoons were identical in plot and theme.

That's why the Real Ghostbusters was a superior cartoon. Because the ghosts were, y'know. Real.

One of the Scooby Doo movies went like this. The blonde sissy guy tried to pull off a zombie's mask, only he pulled its head off, because it was really a zombie.

Scooby-Doo was a bad thing. It was trying to convince us that monsters weren't real! Nice going in trying to stifle the imaginations of a generation, Misters Hanna and Barbera (RIP to both of you, cuz I like Wacky Races).

And many of the monsters great designs and concepts, ruined by just being creepy old burglars in suits. Apparently, the show was pitched as having real monsters, but the networks balked and asked that they be fake, thus starting a trend that would make absolutely no sense.

They had a made for tv (or was it straight to video?) movie where they had real monsters, but the monsters were basically rip-offs of over-used monsters like vampires, etc...

Well, there have been several animated films made for TV or video that had real monsters, plus the two live-action films, and then there was that whole series where they fought actual ghosts with the help of Vincent Price, which was awesome, but with Scrappy doo and NO VELMA, which was the opposite of awesome.
What would have been the coolest original episode, had the monsters been real, would probably be the one where a scientist tried to demonstrate his "time machine" and a giant insect stepped out in his place. Pretty good sci-fi writing for Scooby.
Of course, I gotta hand it to whoever the insect turned out to be. That is one CREATIVE and very well-read crook.
