Description
The second commission drawing for the painter from Miami, this time he wants a Red Bull Racing RB7. The 2011 Formula 1 car of the Red Bull Renault racing team. This are the first lines, it is the first time i draw a Formula 1 car. I can tell you, it is hard to draw a F1 car, it has very small details like the suspention and the bull and names on the side of the car. I found it very difficult to get it right but i think it looks good, how do you guys think about it??----Update----
Started shading, i like the way the tyre came out. but im not totally happy with the way the rear wing came out (With the Red Bull Cola can on it)

The suspention is killing me it extremely difficult to draw so this is all i could make of it, the ref. picture was not very clear too. but further i like how it comes out.

I really love this one, i think it is coming out great!! details are amazingly difficult on this car but i hope to finish it soon.

I finished it finally! i think it looks great! it was very difficult to draw this one, and i've never drawn a formula one car before. please tell me how you guys think about it!

This is why I don't do commissions - what would I do if someone asked me to draw an RB7! I have always wanted to draw an F1 car, but as you say, they are so difficult to draw. The suspension, sponsors and front wing elements (on the post 2009 f1 cars) would drive me crazy. As such, I am always very impressed when I see an F1 car drawing of this quality - especially one of the Red Bull cars given the nightmarish sponsor logos.

Isn't the front tire seriously misaligned? I mean it's almost square - I think individual grid cells curve all right but looking at the whole ellipse - you know what I mean

thats caused by the inner rings i think but im not going to change it now, too much work in it, thanks

Well I decided to mention it because it's very easy to change it, it's just the part where the "ZERO" text is, takes 2 minutes to erase that sharp bit - unless it's like that in the photo as well?
p.s. at least you can save the front left wheel, you're about to make it the same way

Ik wilde er eerst ook een gaan tekenen, maar toen was ik nog niet goed op niveau om uberhaupt een goede gebogen lijn te tekenen, dus had het afgeblazen. Decals (stickers) zijn idd erg moeilijk, maar tot nu toe vind ik het echt nice, zkr voor de eerste keer dat je zo'n wagen tekent!
