This sucks for many reasons...
1. Its boring... ITS A PICTURE OF A BUNCH OF CLOUDS!! WHERES THE BLOOD!!!????

The sky looks so enormous, and the land so insignificant. The sky is so dark. I dunno, theres something I really like about this. Awesome job on this one

i love the contrast! its so perfect. it may be a bit too, but i love over contrasting photos. the texture is very nice too. and how the sky looks so dark. wonderful photo.

this is a very nice photo; everything postitive everyone has said above is very true. Here are my constructive crticsims:
(1) maybe a touch too contrasty...but that's very minor.
(2) I feel like the subject matter at the base of the mountains is rather small and undefined... From the base of the mountains on down, my eye just gets lost.
(3) I dislike that there are powerlines in the right hand side... If you were trying to make some statement about man incrootching on nature, then they would work... I would think maybe you could have turned the camera to the left some more to try and get rid of those powerlines, they really make the shot seem less than perfect in my mind. I dont know if you really could have gotten them out of the shot, but that's just a thought.
All criticisms aside, you clearly have talent, you should be commended greatly for that. Compared to some of the talent on this site, you are deserved to be compared to Ansel Adams. Keep at things.
Oh, by the way... Was this hand-printed? In my opinion that can be the difference between really good and just plain-flat, kill me dead now, outstanding.

The scenery is gorgeous, but I would personally turn down the contrast a whole lot, I think it takes away from the piece. You're trying to portray a dreamy kind of effect, by darkening and bogging down the image.
It's still a lovely shot, that was just my suggestion.

first of all, congrats on the DD.. it was in my deviantmessages and I didn't even realize you got that until I read some of the other comments.
secondly, this photo just made my jaw drop. so stunningly beautiful. the b&w high contrasty effect really works well on this, and that's awesome considering one would typically take a shot with as much color as possible in this kind of situation. I've been around this area and it's just gorgeous. One of the most beautiful places I've ever seen, on land.. I think I found a new fav.

Almost looks like a dreamscape, looking across to a desert island from your mainland. The sky is fabulous as it progressively fades darker on the left.
