when a clichΓ© shot is so well done, then it simply catches everyone's eye !
i still have to add that the sharpening lines are bothering. tip: sharpen the photo in original size and THEN resize it. ot sharpen with the sharpening tool seperated. sharpen a duplicated layer and set the opacity on "darken".. if you use one of these ways, you can avoid theses white sillhouettes !

Somebody dunked the whole coastline into cotton candy, apparently! Very nice continuity between the sea and sky, like the promontory juts out over nothing.

No filter used, the colors were due to the evening sunset casting its colors.
