Doodled and eventually spiraled off to drawing anthropomorphic insects.ΒI liked it.

The stinger and pincer arms strongly suggests this is supposed to be a scorpion or atleast a hybrid of one. Scorpions are not actually insects, but rather arachnids. He/she does have six limbs like an actual insect though, unlike arachnids.

Well aware. I was just putting on parts akin to someone playing around with Lego, hence the "random" it the title.
If I wanted a proper insectoid character, it'd make sure it'd not be a hybrid arachnid.Β

I love the intense detail in a lot of its design - especially the hairs and joints on the antennae. The almost worn and scratched look the outer-body has is also a very nice touch. A good splash of realism even when it was only supposed to be a doodle, so a lot more than I can say about my own doodles. Was it hard to find a type of posture for it, given it's an insect-human hybrid? xDΒ

Mediocre in pose, perhaps, but the posture is very well-done in my opinion. It looks like you took into account the half-insect half-man idea and gave a very fitting, hunched over posture to highlight it.

The hunched over thing is more a way to balance out the weight of the character.
