Description
... Because more than just a castle was lost that night.Based on the awesome Yogscast Youtube series 'The Blackrock Chronicles'. The series is in (kind of) 4 parts. If you haven't watched them, you can watch them here (the links are in order). Just a warning, though: the series has not been updated for a couple of years, so the conclusion may have to be left to your own imaginations...

Oh my god, Rythian's expression is just perfect, even if the eyes are the wrong color. It expresses the emotion of the scene as if this is how the series should have gone. I love it loads!
And the way he grabs Zoey's head...holy balls <3

I did originally include a purple glow to Rythian's eyes, but I thought it detracted from the intensity of his expression, so I got rid of it (at least his irises are purple!).
And yeah, he lost a lot that night... his stronghold, his magic, his drive for revenge and (nearly) the one who mattered most to him. It takes a strong spirit to realise that no matter how satisfying retribution may be, the price is just too high to pay. In this situation though, I think it would be more of a case of 'forgive but never forget'.
I'm thinking of doing a follow-up for this at some point, either another drawing or prose (or both!)...
